Psalm 121

After a particularly difficult week of motherhood, I was meditating on Psalm 121 this afternoon, the psalm assign to memorize in the Beth Moore "Stepping Up" Bible Study I am currently working on. God spoke comfort, encouragement, and HELP from these words...

Psalm 121

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;

4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;

6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;

8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

I was doing this study also but had to quit. Jonah just won't go to the nursery and it's too distracting to everyone else to have him in with me. I had only memorized the first two verses :) I am hoping at some future point I'll find another group doing this study and I'll be able to finish it.

I am doing it with Kristin's church. Her kids and my kids are the only ones there and so far they have done pretty well. I have been able to borrow the video sessions since I missed the first 2 sessions. It's not ideal but better than nothing! :) Bible studies with kids = tricky. This is my first attempt since Benji's birth!
